Tacos / Quesadillas ~ Corn and Spinach (Whole Wheat)


Quesadillas are a type of Tacos eaten widely. These are easy to make. You can stuff it up with any desi Indian dry curries to make it complete Indian.



Ingredients
— Whole wheat flour / Atta - 2 cups
— Oil
— Salt (as per taste)
— Red chilli flakes -  1 tbsp
— Oregano - 1 tbsp
— Black pepper powder - 1 tbsp
— Milk - 1 cup
— All purpose flour / Maida - 1 ½ tbsp
— Butter - 1 tbsp
— Boiled Corn - 1 cup
— Chopped Spinach - 1 cup
— Mozorella cheese - 1/2 cup
— Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp 

Recipe :

1. Mix wheat flour / atta with little salt, oil and water. Form soft dough and keep aside. 
2. Heat a pan with oil and fry garlic.
3. Now add boiled corn and some salt. Fry for 5mins.
4. Add finely chopped spinach and fry for 5 more mins so that the leaves get cooked. 
5. Now add chilli flakes, oregano and adjust salt. 
6. Let this be properly cooked. Now keep this aside.
7. In another pan, heat 1 tbsp of butter and add 1 ½ tbsp of all purpose flour/ maida.
8. Add a cup of milk and cook till this thickens. 
9. Add pepper, salt and turn off the heat. 
10. When cooled add the white sauce to the corn spinach and mix.
11. Add mozorella cheese and mix.
12. Now make balls out from the dough and roll them out.
13. Spread the corn spinach mix on one side and fold from the other.
14. Heat the tawa and spread oil. Place this prepared roti on the tawa and roast on both sides properly by applying oil.
15. When properly roasted, take off from the heat and cut into half.
Quesadillas are ready to be served...
These can be made with Tortillas too..
