Crisy and Tasty ~ Falafel

Being originated in Egypt this dish hold all the flavors of Indian style. Falafel is a deep fried balls or doughnuts made out from our most favorite Chickpeas / Chole dal.



Ingredients :
— Chole dal / Chickpeas - 2cups
— Onions - 1 chopped
— Corriander - bunch
— Oil for deep frying
— All purpose flour - 2tbsps
— Salt
— Chilli powder
— Garlic pods - 5-6
— Cumin seeds - 1tbsp
— Palak - 1 bunch

For Dip
— Yogurt - 1 big cup (beaten thick)
— Sesame seeds - 1/4cup
— Oil — 2tbsps
— Salt
— Pepper powder

Recipe :

1. Soak the Chole dal for 5-6 hrs or overnight.
2. Now in a blender, add chole dal, onions, jeera, salt, corriander, all purpose flour / maida and garlic pods. Blend smooth.

3. After half blend add palak leaves and chilli powder. Blend again. 
4. Now Falafel paste is ready.
5. Heat oil for deep frying. Grease your hands with oil and shape falafel paste into round or deep fry like balls.
6. Let them fry on medium flame. 
7. Take it into a tissue paper plate when it turns brown.
8. Hot hot falafels are ready.

9. Lets prepare a easy dip. Dry roast sesame seeds for 5mins.
10. Shift this to a blender when cooled, add oil and blend smooth.
11. Beat the curd or yogurt thick, add the sesame paste. Add salt and pepper powder as per your taste and mix.

Serve the hot Falafels with the yogurt dip or tomato sauce.
