Butterscotch Shortbread Cookies


Scotland originated the Shortbread cookies are well known for their crumbly texture and rich butter taste.


Ingredients :
— All purpose flour / Maida - 1 ⅓ cup
— Cornstarch - 1/2 cup
— Salt - 1/4 tsp
— Softened Butter - 1 cup
— Sugar powder - 1/2 cup
— Vanila Essence - 1 tsp
— Butterscotch chips - 1/2 cup
— Chocolate chips - 1/3 cup
— Wrap paper



Recipe :

1. Mix All purpose flour, Cornstarch and salt together and keep aside.
2. In the softened butter add sugar and beat till creamy texture comes.
3. Add vanila and beat again. 
4. Add flour in batches and beat into the creamy texture.
5. After you mix in all the dough, add butterscotch and chocolate chips. 
6. Using spatula fold into the dough.
7. In a wrap paper or parchment paper, take one batch of dough.
8. Roll this into a log shape. Finish all the dough.
9. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours or till the log completely hardens.
10. When hardened, open the dough

11. Cut the log into pieces.
12. Spread them on a cookie sheet and bake in an oven pre-heated at 350°F for 10-12 mins.

13. Seperate when cooled or else they will crumble.

Presenting a wonderful cake from the Dalgona family. This is a no Oven, no Butter and no Egg cake. Simple and easy to bake.
