Spiced up in Schezwan sauce, the Indian cotton cheese / Paneer will be a great companion for your fried rice or hakka noodles.
Ingredients :
— Paneer cubes - 250gms
— Cornflour - 4tbsps
— Salt
— Pepper powder - 2tbsps
— Diced Onions - 1cup
— Chopped ginger - 1inch
— Chopped garlic - 4-5 cloves
— Schezwan sauce - 1tbsp
— Tomato sauce - 1tbsp
— Chilli sauce - 1tbsp
— Slit green chillies - 2-3
— Water
— Oil
Recipe :
1. Cut paneer into medium sized cubes.
In a bowl, add paneer, salt, pepper powder and cornflour. Mix gently and keep aside for 5mins.
2. After 5mins fry the paneer pieces in a pan with oil.
3. Flip and fry, it should turn golden brown. Dont over fry. Once fried, take them aside.
4. Long slice or chop ginger garlic and green chillies. Fry till the garlic turns brown.
5. Add diced onions and fry for 5mins.
** Capsicum can be added too or you can replace onions with bell peppers.
6. Now add Schezwan sauce, tomato sauce and red chilli sauce. Mix properly.
7. Add 1cup of water to this and let it cook for 5mins.
8. Add peppe powder and salt. Adjust the spices.
9. For 2tbsps of cornflour add water and make it thin liquid.
10. Add the cornflour paste to the onions. Keep stirring.
11. This becomes little thick.
**You can adjust consistency if required.
12. Add the fried paneer cubes, mix and cook for 5mins.
13. Schezwan Panner is ready to be served.
Side this up for the yummy fried rice or noodles.
