Mango Moong dal Chutney ~ No Onion / Garlic


Moongdal and Mango a great combination to go with as Chutney. This is specifically made as Vrat ka khana or during festival's or fasting times as this has No Onion no Garlic . Great accompany with hot rice and sesame oil.....



Ingredients:

Moongdal - 1/2 cup soaked for 1 hr
Mango pieces - 1/2 cup
Haldi - 1/2 spoon
Salt- as required
Red chillies -10
Urad dal - 2 +1/2 spoon
Mustard seeds - 2 + 1/2 spoon
Jeera - 1/2 spoon
Curry leaves - 1 strand
Hing - 2 pinches
Oil - 1 ½ tbsp



Process:

1. Heat oil in a kadai, add 2 tps of urad dal, rai, 8 red chillies and fry well. 


Set aside and let cool. 



2. Now in a mixie take the above cooked spices and pulse coarsely.


3. Add raw mangoes to this mix and grind .
Note : Add very little water if needed in middle.

4. Now add turmeric pwd and Salt, blend again.

5. Now drain water in moong Dal, and add to the above mix and again grind well. 

6. Now heat oil in a kadai, add 1/2 tsp of urad dal, mustatd seeds, jeera, split red chillies, curry leaves and hing .. fry till nice aroma comes.


7. Dish out the chutney into a bowl and add above tadka. 


Your Mango moong dal chutney is ready to relish with hot rice and sesame oil ...

Alu Baath

This is a simple flavor rice, with no onion , no garlic..
