Gobi Meal Maker



Gobi / Cauliflower is a simply curry dish that can be served with hot rice, rotis or parathas. Cauliflower can be made in different forms and it has an amazing taste with every combination when cooked right.



Ingredients :

- Cauliflower / gobi floret - 1 1/2 cup
- Soya chunks or Meal maker - 1 cup
- Chopped Onions - 1 cup
- Slit green chillies - 4-5
- Tomato paste - 1 cup
- Salt - as required
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Dhaniya Powder - 1 tsp
- Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Chopped Coriander 
- Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
For Tempering
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Channa dal - 1 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Hing - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves

Recipe :

1. Soak the soya chunks in hot water. In a pan heat oil, add the tempering ingredients and let them splutter.
2. Add green chillies and onions. Fry till onions become translucent. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell wades off.
3. Add tomato paste and cook with lid closed for 5mins. Now add salt and turmeric cook for 5mins. 
4. When onion tomatoes are cooked add gobi florets . Close the lid and cook till the florets become soft.
5. Squeeze water out from the soya chunks and add them to the curry. Mix and close lid. Cook for 5 mins.
6. Add chilli, dhaniya, jeera and masala powders. Mix well and cook for 5 mins.
7. Dash some coriander & check for the spices . Add very little water if  needed.

Serve hot with rice or rotis.
