Stuffed Karela ~ Toor dal spice powder



Bittergaurds / Karelas though bitter in taste regularise the blood sugar and cholesterol levels. As all moms say yes it do maintains your stomach by killing the germs... 


Ingredients :
— Karela / Bitter guards - 4
— Toor dal spice powder - 1/2 cup
— Salt
— Oil for shallow fry


Recipe :

1. Clean and cut the edges of the karela.  Then cut them to half.
2. Now scoop out the seeds but make sure you dnt make hole on the other end.
3. Pressure cook with little salt but make sure you turn off before 1st whistle.
It should turn little soft not mushy. 

4. Now strain and let the karelas cool.

5. Once cooled stuff the toor dal spice powder into them. Fill and slight press the powder to the edges. 
6. Now shallow fry these karelas carefully, that the powder does not come out.
7. Serve with hot rice as a side dish.
