Crisy Corn Wada and Corn Lollipop

Corns become a great companion of those hot tea and coffee sessions whether its a normal day or a rainy.
Here we present you one such wonderful snack everybody in the house would love to eat with 0 excuses.

 

Ingredients :

— Sweet corn - 2 bowls
— Chopped onions - 1 cup
— Green chillies - 4-5
— Chopped corriander 
— Grated or chopped ginger - 1inch
— Salt
— Turmeric powder 
— Chilli powder
— Corriander powder 
— Kasuri methi - 1tsp 
— Oil for deep frying 
— Rice flour - 1 cup
— Pepper powder 
— Ice cream sticks for the lollipops

Recipe :

1. Pressure cook the sweet corns for just 1 whistle and drain water completely. 
2. In a blender, blend the corn in pulse mode or just coarse. 
** Its ok to have few uncrushed corn kernels. 
3. Add chopped onion, green chillies, corriander, turmeric powder, salt, corriander powder, pepper powder and chilli powder.
** Add them as per your taste.
4. After you mix properly, add rice flour. Keep adding slowly to make the batter hard.
Check if it's holding shape and adjust with rice flour. 
5. Heat oil for deep frying. On a had, or on a plastic cover or on parchment paper, shape out the wada and carefully drop for frying.
Don't break the shape. 

6. For lollipops, make bullet shapes and insert the ice cream sticks.
** After to insert check the lollipop, it shouldn't fall off from the stick. If it does, add rice flour to the corn stuff and make it hard.
7. Carefully fry in the oil.
8. Fry till they turn brown. Strain into a tissue paper placed plate.

10. Serve with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
Kids love the lollipops. Its a great party hit snack too.

Presenting a wonderful cake from the Dalgona family. This is a no Oven, no Butter and no Egg cake. Simple and easy to bake.
