Chocolate Craving Cake

" Chocolates are a love affair which lightens the sweet spirit..

Don't make any excuses for the chocolate..."

Ingredients

Preparation Time : 20 mins
Baking Time : 30 - 35mins
Temperature : 180° C / 350 °F

For Cake :

- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour / maida
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (63g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg ( Can avoid egg to make eggless)
- 1/2 cup (100g) whole milk
- 1/4 cup (55g) oil
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (118g) warm water / coffee decotion
- 1 Avacado (optional)
- 3 - 4 spoons Nutella (optional)

FROSTING

- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter
- Few drops of milk if needed
- 1/4 tsp cocoa powder

Recipe

1.  In a bowl, seive in Maida, baking powder, baking soda, salt & cocoa powder.

2. Also add in sugar to the dry ingredients and mix them all slowly.

3. The cake mix is ready now.

4. Add the avacado paste to the cake mix and mix in without any lumps. Avacado smooths the  cake texture of added.

5. In another bowl, add egg, oil & vanila essense and beat properly. The color should change from yellow to pale yellow.
You can avoid egg to turn this into a eggless cake.

6. Add this wet mixture to the dry cake mix and blend in. Also add half of milk and mix.

7. Add in the water or coffee decoration. I prefer coffee decotion as that adds a great flavor to the chocolate cake.

8. Mix and add the other half of the milk. Blend in everything into a smooth paste with no lumps.

9. Grease a pan and place a parchment paper / butter paper. Fill in the cake batter and tap the container twice to release the air bubbles.

10. You can now top the nuttella randomly and tap again.

11. Bake it @ 180° C / 350 °F for 30 - 35 mins.

12. After it is baked, do a tooth pick test and make sure the cake is evenly baked.

De-mould it only after it is completely cooled.

Lets try our hands on frosting this cake now...

1. Melt in the chocolate chips using microwave with 30 seconds intervals or in a double boiler on the stove untill the chips completely melt.

2. If you sugar is crystal, then make it a fine powder.

3.  Blend in sugar and butter until they turn into smooth paste.
I used my blender to do this.

4. Now add in the melted chocolate chips, 1/4 spn cocoa powder and 1/2tsp vanilla essence.
Let this be blended smoothly into a fine paste.

5. If you feel this is very hard, add few drops of milk and make it little flowing.

You can now layer the cake and fill this chocolate butter frosting.
