Simple Sunnipindi / Bath powder / Ubtan

Bath powder / Sunnipindi / Ubtan is an all-natural skincare solution that is absolutely great for your skin. Hence, you can use it every day while taking your shower. Otherwise, you can use it on a weekly basis to pamper your skin. 

This removes unwanted hair, prevents skin infections and promotes a healthy glowing skin when used regularly. You need not use soap when the powder is used. 


Ingredients :

 - Chana dal - 3 cups
- Dosa / Idly rice - 1 1/2 cups
- Normal rice - 1/4 cup
- Moong dal ( without skin) - 1/4 cup
- Methi seeds - 1 tsp
- Red gram / Erra kandipappu (optional) - 2 tbsps
Procedure :

1. Clean and dry the lentils in sun for 3-4 hrs.
2. Let cool and make fine powder.

3. The powder should neither be very smooth nor very coarse.

How can this be used ?

For Normal / Oily skin :

1. Massage body with  butter (venna) / Til oil.

2. Now take powder in required quantity and mix it with water and little honey.
3. Apply this paste and scrub gently in circular motion and wash off with luke warm water.

4. Avoid using soap after scrubbing with bath powder.


For Dry skin :

 1. Massage body with  butter (venna) / til oil.

2. Now take powder in required quantity and mix it with water and little milk.

3.Apply this paste and scrub gently in circular motion and wash off with luke warm water.

You can add a pinch of turmeric when using for girls. This can be used for infants, babies, kids or adults.
