Kale Pooris || Make Fluffy Pooris


Kale leaves are also called as cabbage plant leaves. These are of different shapes too. The kale leaves are rich in anti oxidants, iron and Vit C. 

These can be used in salads, dals and many more. 





Ingredients :

- Kale Leaves - 2 cups
- All purpose flour / Maida - 1/2 cup
- Wheat flour / Atta - 1 cup
- Salt - 1tsp
- Semolina - 1 tbsp 
- Oil - For deep frying
- Water - As required

Recipe :

1. Clean the kale leaves and fill water till the leaves are submerged.
* You can replace with Spinach leaves.
2. Boil these leaves for 10 mins only.
3. Strain the water and run under cold water.
4. In a blender, add the leaves and make smooth paste with very little water.
5. In a mixing bowl, add maida, atta, salt, semolina, 1 tsp of oil, green leaves paste.
* Semolina will make the pooris fluffy.
6. Mix everything well and then using water as required make a soft dough.
7. Apply little oil and leave the dough to rest for 20 mins.
8. Knead the dough after 20 mins, take a ball and roll with 1/2 inch thickness.
9. Fry in hot oil and the pooris will become fluffy when very slightly pressed on the top.
10. Relish hot.
Enjoy making fluffy pooris by adding semolina in the dough. Do adjust the quantity of semolina with change in quantities of the flour.

Malabar Spinach / Bachali kura  is widely part of the traditional Indian cuisine. These green leaves are rich  in vitamin A , C , iron and calcium. They give immense benefits to the body when eaten in right  quantities. The well known Andhra dish is Kandha Bachali Koora.... Godhuma Atlu / Atta Chilla

Godhuma Atlu / Atta Chilla / Wheat Dosa is a healthy dosa which doesn't require any fermentation. This has quite a unique taste than the usual varieties.
